Solid Bond Consulting – Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2nd November 2026

This policy explains what personal information Solid Bond Consulting Ltd collects through this website, how we use it, and your rights. We keep it short and in plain English. If anything is unclear, please ask us.

Who we are:

Solid Bond Consulting Ltd is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

  • Registered in England and Wales, company number 17392927
  • Registered office: 4 Brewery Cottage, High Street, Westerham, TN16 1RG
  • Postal address: 2/2a Newman House, Newman Road, Bromley, BR1 1RJ
  • Registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office: ZC219944
  • Email: enquiries@solidbondconsulting.co.uk

What we collect and why:

When you contact us

If you email us or use a contact form on this website, we collect your name, email address, any phone number you give us, and what you tell us in your message. We use it to reply to you and, if you ask us to, to discuss working together. We do this because it’s in our legitimate interests to answer enquiries, or because you’ve asked us to take steps before entering into a contract with us.

When you sign up for an event

When you sign up for one of our events, such as a free online taster session, we collect:

  • your first name, last name and email address
  • your answers to the optional questions on the form (which best describes you, where you are on your journey, and any question you’d like answered)
  • whether you’ve agreed to receive occasional guidance and course dates from us
  • how you found us, for example a link from LinkedIn or a partner organisation

We use this information to:

  • register you for the session and send you the joining details
  • send you reminders before the session and a follow-up afterwards, including any handouts we promised
  • arrange a free conversation with you, if you ask for one
  • shape the session around the questions people ask
  • understand which of our posts and partners bring people to our events

We do this because you’ve asked to attend, and because it’s in our legitimate interests to run our events well and understand how people find them.

If an event is full, you can leave your email address so we can tell you about the next date. We’ll only use it for that.

Our mailing list

If you tick the box on our forms, we’ll add you to our mailing list and send you occasional guidance, course dates and news about future sessions. We only do this with your consent.

Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by emailing enquiries@solidbondconsulting.co.uk. If you don’t tick the box, we’ll only email you about the event you signed up for.

We use MailerLite to store our mailing list and send our emails. MailerLite records whether you open our emails and click on links, which helps us see what’s useful.

Cookies and advertising:

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website.

  • Essential cookies keep the website working and remember your cookie choices. They’re always on.
  • Advertising cookies: we use Google Ads to show adverts for our events and courses. If you agree to advertising cookies, Google places a cookie that lets us count how many people sign up after clicking one of our adverts. This tells us which adverts work. It doesn’t tell us who you are.

We only set advertising cookies if you agree to them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link at the bottom of the website. You can also control how Google uses your information for advertising at adssettings.google.com.

Who we share your information with:

We never sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run our website, events and emails, under contracts that require them to keep it safe and use it only on our instructions:

  • Stablepoint and WPForms, which run our website and forms
  • MailerLite, which stores our mailing list and sends our emails
  • Zoom, which hosts our online sessions; when you register on Zoom, Zoom also processes your details under its own privacy policy
  • Eventbrite, if you book through Eventbrite rather than our website; Eventbrite also processes your details under its own privacy policy
  • Google, for advertising measurement, if you agree to advertising cookies

We may also share information if the law requires it.

Some of these providers store or process data outside the UK, including in the European Economic Area and the United States. Where they do, they use safeguards approved under UK data protection law, such as the UK’s adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep your information:

  • Enquiries: for up to 2 years after our last contact, unless you become a client.
  • Event sign-ups: for 12 months after the event, so we can answer questions and plan future sessions, then we delete them.
  • Mailing list: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address on a suppression list, so we don’t contact you again by mistake.
  • Waiting list for the next session: until we’ve told you the next date, or for 12 months, whichever comes first.

How we keep it safe:

We use reputable service providers, keep access to the people who need it, and protect our accounts with strong passwords and two-step sign-in where available.

Your rights:

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct anything that’s wrong
  • ask us to delete your information
  • object to us using your information, or ask us to limit how we use it
  • withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing
  • ask us to send your information to you or another organisation in a usable format

To use any of these rights, email enquiries@solidbondconsulting.co.uk. We’ll reply within one month. There’s no charge.

Complaints:

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first, so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy:

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
